The City of Sumner has multiple 3-month Seasonal Labor positions at different worksites including Wastewater, Public Works Shops and Cemetery. Positions are expected to last from around May through September, but can be flexible depending on the needs of the candidate. Sumner's Seasonal Laborers work a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work required. This is a great position if you love working outdoors during the summer months!

Wastewater Treatment Plant Seasonal Laborer x 2

General position information for all locations: 
The Seasonal Labor position is a temporary 3-month position is a full-time, Fair Labor Standards Act overtime eligible, seasonal position. This is designated as a Safety Sensitive Position. The regular work schedule for Seasonal Laborer is Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Evening, weekend and holiday work is not anticipated.  The incumbent in this position is not a Civil Service employee.

The temporary seasonal labor positions are responsible for maintenance of city facilities as directed. Work is performed under the direction of the Superintendent, Chief Operator or Field Supervisor, depending on location; employees are expected to perform assignments independently. There are no supervisory responsibilities with the Seasonal Labor position.
