GENERAL DUTIES: 

Under the direction of the Environmental Education Coordinator, Daycamp Assistants will assist Ranger-Naturalists in the supervision of children 6-12 years of age who are participating in Discovery Programs day camps.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age as of April 1, 2021.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children 6-12 years of age.
• Ability to follow directions and established procedures in a day camp setting.
• An interest in ecology, marine biology, and natural history highly desirable.
• Ability to follow current COVID-19 safety guidelines.
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background screening.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience working with children in a youth group or day camp program.
• CPR and first aid training.
