The Senior Engineer - Transportation reviews private development projects and develops and implements solutions to transportation engineering design and construction problems. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Review developer applications and project plans for compliance with standards, policies, and regulations.Determine easements and right-of-way dedications, impacts of street/intersection capacity improvements, new streets, intersections, and signals to the transportation system.Review transportation concurrency model results and intersection capacity analysis.Develop the scope of and reviewing traffic impact studies.Resolve, approve, process, and manage permits.Attend and provide testimony at public meetings and hearings.Attend preconstruction conferences. Lead and manage the Coordinated Civil Engineering reviews, approvals and fees. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Minimum of seven (7) years of engineering experience, including three years of project administration and management responsibilities.Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.This position is currently non-represented. Licenses and Requirements: Currently hold a valid Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license. If PE license is out of state, need to register with State of Washington within six months of appointment.Valid Washington State driver's license by date of appointment.
