Description

The Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) is in search of a skilled IT Services Technician known for their outstanding customer service and troubleshooting expertise.  In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison and initial point of contact for internal customers seeking technical support.

As a valued member of the Information Services team, you’ll collaborate with various organizational units to optimize technological solutions tailored to their specific needs, aiming to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency in their daily job duties. While ensuring the maintenance and support of a diverse range of technological assets, including software applications, computers, tablets, phones, displays, cameras, printers, multi-function devices, servers, databases, and networking devices, the focus remains on providing exceptional support to our customers.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for help desk customers to assist with troubleshooting and resolving technology related issues.
  • Perform hardware and software deployment, configuration, and assigned system administration.
  • Write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas in terms that nontechnical people can understand.
  • Performs high-level root-cause analysis for system/service interruptions and works with peers to create preventive measure plans.
  • Work independently, efficiently, and courteously, maintaining patience with interruptions.
  • Participate in 24 x 7 on-call rotation and maintenance responsibilities.
  • Assist in managing inventory and the total lifecycle of IT assets.
  • Show initiative performing job functions and other duties as assigned.
