The City of Puyallup is accepting applications for a temporary Park Ranger. The priority application date is March 15, 2021, and the job posting may close upon receipt of a qualified applicant pool. About the Job This is a temporary position, which will work full-time from approximately mid-April to end of September, performing park ranger duties in monitoring park areas and enforcing park rules and regulations. The position will report to a Recreation Coordinator and may receive work direction from other city staff. About the City The City of Puyallup is situated at the foot of scenic Mount Rainier in the beautiful Puget Sound region, 10 miles east of Tacoma and approximately 35 miles south of Seattle. The city has gained prominence as a regional commercial and service center for Eastern Pierce County, and continues to serve its residents and neighbors with a strong, diversified economy. Hourly wage is $23.47 per hour. Qualifications include: Minimum of two years of work experience involving extensive interaction with the public required; experience working in public safety preferred. Or, a combination of education, experience, and training that indicates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position listed above.
