AGENCY OVERVIEW
The Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging (LMTAAA) is a governmental agency sponsored by Lewis, Mason, and Thurston Counties since 1976. The agency is part of a state network of 13 Area Agencies on Aging in the Washington State and is part of a national network of 622 Area Agencies on Aging across the country.
The mission of the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging is to advocate, support, manage, monitor, plan, fund and coordinate programs and services for older adults, adults living with a disability and family caregivers. We fulfill our mission through our own resources, programs and personnel, or by connecting people to information and services provided through other agencies and support networks in our service area.
Today, your local Area Agency on Aging serves as a vital advocate, resource and care coordinator for thousands of seniors and adults with disabilities who are looking for answers on aging and assistance with living longer, fuller and more productive lives.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging is looking for a skilled, motivated and innovative professional to provide visionary leadership and strategic programmatic direction to the agency and a group of professionals that work in our Family Caregiver, Information & Assistance and other crucial supportive programs and services. This position will be an active and integral member of the agency’s Executive Leadership Team bringing a diverse background and creative perspective. This position supports the Executive Director with meeting the collective goals of the agency. This position will help lead the agency’s outreach strategy and activities in accordance to the trends, needs and initiatives from a local, state and national perspective that best serve our communities and clients. As the agency continues to evolve to meet the needs of its clients, this position will be instrumental in supporting the maintenance and development of healthy aging initiatives and other related programs or services that support the well-being of, adults living with a disability, older adults as they age and unpaid family caregivers.

This position provides leadership and supervision to staff in the Family Caregiver Support Program, the Information and Assistance Program, CLC Program and other Community Support Programs which includes approximately 12 staff. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
The success candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with four or more years responsible experience in relevant program management and demonstrated knowledge of local aging network services and programs serving older adults and adults living with disabilities. Four or more years experience in management, including strong supervisory skills to lead the unit. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking and solid problem-solving skills as a contributing member of the Executive Leadership Team. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The exempt, annual salary range for this position is $71,004-$94,404 (annual) depending upon qualifications, experience and background.
