Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Washington and in the vibrant downtown corrider of Kirkland, the City currently has a career opportunity for the position of an Associate or Journey level Plans Examiner. The role of the Plans Examiner is to review basic and/or intermediate construction plans and other submittal documents for code compliance to provide in-office technical and supervisory support and when necessary to assist with building department inspections and investigation of public complaints to ensure compliance with adopted codes and ordinances. The finalist's experience and qualifications will determine the level offered - Associate (entry level) or Journey (mid level).
