Utility Billing Clerk job in Ocean Shores

The City of Ocean Shores is accepting applications for a full-time Utility Billing Clerk. Duties include but are not limited to: calculating and preparing utility bills utilizing specific software; collecting and processing utility payments; reconciling daily deposits and providing necessary reports; providing customer service regarding utility account complaints, concerns, questions, service changes, and account status by phone and in person. Ideal candidates will be professional with a positive attitude, pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver’s License with a driving record acceptable to the City’s insurance carrier. Experience in a local government agency preparing utility billings and/or providing public information is preferred. Prior customer service experience is required.
