Description

Association of Washington Cities (AWC) is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant II to join our dynamic and fast-paced Administrative team. The top candidate will provide excellent customer service, be highly motivated and detailed orientated, and enjoy working as part of a team.


What you will be doing

  • Receive and screen incoming calls on a multiple line telephone
  • Greet visitors
  • Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and faxes
  • Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to data entry, photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing and imaging
  • Assemble and summarize data as requested and prepare considerably complex reports where required
  • Assist various internal staff with projects, program provisions, setting up and facilitating internal meeting needs, trainings/workshops and conference, and research
  • Assist with ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory
  • Process and confirm reservations for conference calls and equipment
  • Open and close office as directed by supervisor
  • Serve as backup to Administrative Assistant III

What you bring to the team

  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a professional office setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and have the ability to learn and use a variety of proprietary software
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse audience of internal and external customers
  • Ability to make effective decisions and act independently in managing and coordinating assigned duties
  • Must possess good time management skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple diverse work tasks
  • Ability to model the organization’s high standards of quality customer service
  • Ability to establish credibility and manage confidential and time sensitive material
