The City of Shelton is looking for a Civil Engineer, PE - The Civil Engineer will plan, supervise, and coordinate professional civil engineering work in support of a wide range of Public Works projects and duties for the City of Shelton, WA 98584. This is a full-time position. Salary $73,383 - $95,398 DOQ plus benefits package. The City of Shelton is located just 35 minutes northwest of Olympia on the shores of Oakland Bay at the southernmost point of Puget Sound. The Shelton community is rich in history, culture, and natural beauty, and is a gateway to the spectacular Olympic Peninsula where residents and visitors alike enjoy the numerous outdoor sports and recreational opportunities. The City includes 6.11 square miles and 10,700 residents. While the City has increased in population of late, the City has managed to preserve its friendly aura and natural environment. Min Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering AND registration as a PE in the State of Washington. Applicant must have a demonstrated ability to apply approved engineering methods and standards to the design and construction of a variety of public and private projects, and a demonstrated proficiency in preparing technical documents, plans and specifications related to engineering projects. Ability to think in a creative and innovative fashion, with ability to adapt to change and to apply new solutions to problems. Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills necessary to successful complete a project, including project planning, resource allocation, budget development and control, project tracking and control, and project completion and closeout.
