Description

The City of Bothell is looking for its next Public Works Maintenance Worker in the Storm division! The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and be trained in the maintenance of the City's storm infrastructure, a customer service and safety-minded attitude, and the ability to perform work outdoors in all types of weather while working with a diverse population.

What will you do in this position?

  • Inspect, clean, and repair catch basins and storm mainlines.
  • Provide pond maintenance and vegetation control.
  • Perform a variety of routine traffic control activities as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies as directed on a 24-hour basis (spill response, inclement weather, ect).

A successful candidate in this position will:

  • Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
  • Take initiative for reaching objectives and achieving quality results.
  • Collaborate both within the organization and externally to foster effective partnerships.
  • Openly receive new ideas and other perspectives.
  • Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
