The City of Olympia Public Works Department seeks exceptional individuals to fill positions as a Project Engineer II with the Drinking Water Utility Division, Engineering Division, and the Transportation Division. Each of these positions require a current PE license or the ability to acquire one within six months of employment with the City of Olympia.
The Drinking Water and Transportation positions will engage in a range of tasks to support building and maintaining a high-quality infrastructure with limited project design work. Key responsibilities will include engineering analysis, project feasibility scoping, field crew technical support, private development review, capital program development and management, and policy implementation.
The Engineering position will be primarily project design work for a broad range of Public Works infrastructure projects including transportation, utilities, public buildings, and facilities. In addition to project design, the position will engage closely in the construction management and contracting processes.
