Application Deadline: April 10, 2024 The Washington State Transit Insurance Pool (WSTIP) is seeking an Accounting Specialist. The purpose of this position is to provide accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll services. This position also provides administrative support services to the Deputy Director. This is a non-exempt position. Work is performed following established procedures and general directions; incumbents perform work independently after assignment, applying established guidelines and alternatives to make judgments and decisions. This position is required to work in the Olympia office. Retirement benefits are provided by the Public Employees’ Retirement System administered by the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. WSTIP does not pay into social security but in lieu offers a 401A plan. 457 deferred compensation plans are also optionally available. Paid Time Off: WSTIP utilizes a paid general leave bank (combo sick leave and vacation) with new employees earning 24 days per year. Eight paid holidays are also included (holidays not included: Martin Luther King, President’s Day, and Veterans Day). | |
