Description


This is initially a limited-term position, anticipated to last 24-36 months. Open until filled; cutoff for first review of applications is March 20.

The Hydrogeologist is responsible for leading the development of the City's Groundwater Management Plan (GWMP). Duties include analysis of prior studies, reports and modeling; reporting water quantity, quality and related data; and presenting results and products to a variety of audiences.

The ideal candidate for this position has technical experience and an understanding of water resource management issues, and is able to effectively use those skills to communicate with and educate city decision-makers and the general public. Data gathering and processing, demonstrated interpersonal engagement, meeting facilitation, and program development are also critical skills for successfully fulfilling the role.
