Description

Summary:

The City Center Program Manager (CCPM) is responsible for facilitating public and private development in Lynnwood's City Center and Regional Growth Center. The individual assigned to this position will work with a multi-disciplinary staff team to coordinate efforts for the redevelopment of the Lynnwood City Center in to a high-density, mixed-use, pedestrian friendly and transit-oriented environment.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating private redevelopment projects and public infrastructure projects, to implement the City's vision for City Center.
  • Serving as a liaison to stakeholders regarding planning and implementation of the City Center.
  • Assisting with project coordination of Sound Transit's Lynnwood City Center light rail station. This involves working with City staff and the Sound Transit team on project implementation and oversight.
  • Coordinating the implementation of the City Center Plan and supporting policies.  Identification and implementing potential changes to the plan and policies as may be needed.
  • Pursuing grant opportunities to facilitate various projects that implement the City Center Plan.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to increase awareness of development opportunities in the City Center to private developers, real estate professionals, and media.
  • Preparing and administering development agreements associated with development projects in accordance with the City Center Plan.
  • Identifying and pursing partnership opportunities between the City and other stakeholders to further implementation of the City Center Plan.
  • Managing consultant service contracts related to the City Center implementation.

 Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience in planning, public administration, business administration, real estate development, or closely related field, (Master's degree preferred) plus three (3) years progressively responsible project management experience preferably in the areas of development, transportation, or infrastructure implementation, a valid Washington State driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier.
