Under the direction of the City Attorney, the Senior Labor Relations Manager provides strategic labor policy direction; leads and participates in complex City-wide labor negotiations and contract administration; establishes and manages division policies and programs; advises management on labor-related matters, collective bargaining agreement interpretation, labor relations strategy development, and related policies and processes. This classification manages labor relations policy at the City-wide level, requiring discretionary and strategic judgment; provides advice and consultation to City management; develops and maintains a business partner relationship with executive management and with labor union leadership. Supervises and provides leadership to division staff. Office environment may include evening hours.
