The Opportunity: Utility Worker The Alderwood Water & Wastewater District (AWWD) is accepting applications for Utility Worker. The successful candidates will be appointed to the appropriate classification (I or II) dependent on their qualifications. Utility Workers maintain and operate the District’s water distribution system, sewage collection system, meters, plants, and reservoirs. Essential duties include installing, servicing, and repairing water and sewer facilities; repairing water and sewer line leaks; flushing water systems; repairing curbs and sidewalks; installing valves and setting meters; and responding professionally and courteously to customer inquiries. This position is represented by WCCCE, Local No. 1811A, AFSCME, AFL-CIO. A valid Washington State Driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required for all classification levels.
