Full Salary Range: $51,603 - $61,617 annually
Starting Salary Range: $51,603 - $56,388 annually, DOQ

The City of Covington is seeking a diversely talented team player capable of maintaining the City’s pool and related mechanical equipment and systems. Maintaining accurate and timely records on all aspects of pool operation are included in that responsibility. Further, since this position is integrated into aquatic programming, the successful candidate will also be tasked with lifeguarding, water exercise instruction, teaching swim lessons, and other related aquatic programs. A high level of detail-orientation, exceptional organizational skills, and adaptability are critical to succeed in this position, along with well-developed verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements: At least one (1) year of experience in the operation and maintenance of municipal or commercial swimming pool facilities. A combination of education/training and/or experience which provides evidence of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform all related duties may also be considered.

Special Requirements:
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding certificate.
• American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer Certification.
• National Recreation & Parks Association Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Certification. Or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification. Or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
• Proper documentation to fulfill the requirements of the Immigration and Nationality Act within three (3) days of employment.
