Prosecutor job in Bothell

The City of Bothell Prosecutor’s Office is looking for an enthusiastic, charismatic, organized and efficient trial lawyer to serve as Prosecutor.

What will this person do?

• Appears in Municipal Court for all court calendars
• Acts as City Prosecutor in misdemeanor prosecutions
• Prosecute drug forfeiture cases
• Prepares pleadings, plea offers, motions, correspondences and legal memoranda
• Coordinates with Bothell Police Department and other law enforcement agencies

What does this person need to be successful?

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree AND experience as a Rule 9 intern or licensed attorney in municipal legal practice and trial court experience
• Skilled at building and making a legal case
• Comfortable navigating a high caseload
• Have high level legal research, analytical, persuasion, and communication skills
• An understanding of appropriate ethical behavior in a public sector work environment
• Global and cultural awareness and a willingness to embrace the diversity of the Bothell community
