Assistant City Engineer job in Mesa Arizona

Mesa’s Assistant City Engineer works alongside a second Assistant City Engineer, both reporting to the City Engineer. Together they supervise the department in planning, organizing, and directing the efficient development and construction of the community’s public works projects.

The City of Mesa is seeking a visionary and engaging servant-leader with the diversity of skills and knowledge to succeed in helping manage the infrastructure of the country’s 35th largest community.

This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Extensive (5+ years) administrative and supervisory experience in the civil engineering or architectural field is also required, along with experience planning and directing difficult projects and supervising the work of professional engineer and/or architectural staff.

Must be registered as a Professional Civil Engineer by hire date. Registration in the State of Arizona is required within six months of their hire date. The chosen candidate must possess a valid Arizona Class D driver’s license by hire or promotion date.

The City of Mesa is offering an annual salary of $102,342.05 to $151,465.60 for this position dependent upon qualifications and experience.
