Accounts Payable - Accounting Specialist job in Redmond

The Finance Department is responding to the growing needs of the City, consider joining our team as an Accounts Payable-Accounting Specialist. This position will review and process payment of invoices to vendors, reimbursements to employees and non-employees and travel advances in accordance with Financial and Governmental Accounting principles, State and City policies and regulations. The successful candidate will effectively use complex integrated business applications, financial accounting systems, MS Excel and word to create and maintain financial documentation and problem solve.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience. Public sector accounting experience preferred, or any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Knowledge of governmental accounting and auditing practices and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred. This full-time position will earn between 4,419.00 and $5,743 per month.
