Engineer job in Redmond

The Planning Department is responding to the growing needs of the City, consider joining our team as an Engineer. The talent you bring will help us:

• Plan, design or review a variety of private and public projects, programs, systems or processes.
• Provide engineering research on complicated issues to assist senior engineers and supervisors in decision making.
• Participate in various technical committees, study groups, and task forces; attends a variety of meetings, as necessary; develops and delivers oral presentations, including public presentations related to project issues.
• Provide input into the City's Geographic Information System.
• Identify and evaluate impacts from proposed private development and proposes improvements and/or fees necessary to mitigate these impacts.
• Conduct peer review of technical reports and designs of private development projects prepared by consultants to ensure compliance with city codes and engineering standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Four (4) years engineering experience.
• Or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• A Master's may substitute for two (2) years of experience and Professional Engineer registration is preferred.
• Professional Engineering Certification Preferred
• Engineer-In-Training Certification.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License and a driving record that meets city standards.
