Description | |
The Grants Administrator works autonomously under the Budget Manager to provide leadership to Sheriff Office project managers, department/division staff and others on all grant functions. The primary goal of the Grant Administrator is to seek grant funds for the Sheriff’s office. The Grant Administrator is responsible for the following activities: developing and implementing strategies for obtaining grants; providing leadership on the preparation, review and monitoring of grant program development; identifying and researching potential grant programs and resources; applying for grants; ensuring grant applications are complete and submitted; facilitating meetings with project teams as necessary; communicating the rules and regulations for all grants; managing and conducting annual or bi-annual audits, maintaining proper documentation; preparing monthly and quarterly reports; monitoring and reviewing program and fiscal reporting; providing leadership on project implementation, project management oversight, and audit preparation.
