The City of Yakima Parks Division is seeking an experienced groundskeeper to oversee the operations & maintenance of Tahoma Cemetery.
JOB SUMMARY: Under limited supervision of the Parks and Recreation Manager, schedules, coordinates and supervises the operation and maintenance of the Tahoma Cemetery. Performs related work as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Degree or GED and three (3) years’ experience in cemetery operations and maintenance work including one (1) year of experience in backhoe and dump truck operations and one (1) year experience in a lead or supervisory role. Successful completion of post-high school course work in subjects related to grounds maintenance, cemetery operations may be substituted on a month-for-month basis, or closely-related subjects for the required cemetery operations and maintenance experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License. Washington State Public Pesticide Operators License for herbicides and insecticides; Basic First Aid Certificate within six (6) months.
