Perform skilled journey level maintenance, repair, and equipment operation for the City of Lacey Public Works Water Maintenance Division. Employees will be assigned journey level work in various sections of the water maintenance division, as needed, based on short and long-term operating requirements. The Water Utility Section provides high quality drinking water in sufficient quantity and pressure to support the citizens of Lacey and residents of the entire water service area. All of Lacey's water comes from 20 groundwater wells owned and operated by the Utility. The water division is responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair of over 400 miles of pipelines, thousands of water valves, fire hydrants, multiple water booster stations, water reservoirs, water treatment plants, multiple pressure zones, chlorine generation facilities, and pH adjustment facilities. | |
