Human Resources Manager job in Mukilteo

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating and administering the City's personnel policies, programs, services and systems including the safety and wellness programs. The position is responsible for ensuring organizational principles are applied to employee practices. The incumbent works independently with minimal supervision and reports to the City Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

Any equivalent combination of education which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job.

Experience, Education and Training:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field and four years of technical level or higher human resources generalist experience in one or more functional human resources areas; preferably within a municipal or public sector environment; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience to sufficiently demonstrate an ability to perform the work required in the position.

Licenses/Certifications required: 

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred, or ability to attain PHR certification within 3 years of employment.
