Accountant II job in Yakima

The City of Yakima Finance Department is seeking an Accountant II to perform professional accounting duties for assigned functions such as fund accounting and analysis, payroll, budget, investments, grants, and special project accounting; independently analyze and review complex financial data and draw appropriate conclusions; independently make responsible decisions, resolve problems and interpret guidelines, regulations, and policies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from a four (4) year accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, plus two (2) years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience which includes preparation of balance sheets and either profit and loss reports or revenue and expenditure reports. Municipal or local government experience preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License is desirable.
