Engineering Technician job in Issaquah

The City of Issaquah Community Planning and Development Department is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position of Engineering Technician! The mission of the Community Planning and Development Department is to be good stewards of the natural environment, enforce adopted City codes and plans in a consistent and equitable manner, uphold the community's vision, and deliver professional service to the community. This position will join a small Engineering Division made up of both engineers and inspectors and will have the opportunity to support ongoing work and take the lead on some projects. The incumbent reviews plans or assists with review of plans, gathers and analyzes data, assists with permit tracking and applying permit fees consistently and accurately, performs GIS mapping tasks, performs engineering calculations, and is in frequent contact with developers, property owners, and the general public. Our ideal candidate has strong technical skills, experience with plan review, strong attention to detail, good customer service skills, and the desire to be an important part of a small team.
