The Capital Engineering Manager has day-to-day responsibility for the management and operations of the capital program group of the Public Works Department. Projects upcoming in the next two years include the construction of federally funded pedestrian and non-motorized improvements and planning for the replacement of the one of the City's primary water system reservoirs with a new water tower structure. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a host of planning and project delivery efforts that range from traditional road preservation and utility upgrades, to cutting-edge sustainable transportation projects. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop new strategies and tools for planning and executing projects, and will be encouraged to take a creative approach to engaging the community in the work.
