The City of Orting is looking for a seasoned municipal executive to take us to the next level in customer service, employee development, department accountability, and economic development as our next City Administrator. The right candidate will be able to show how they have built trust with staff, City Council, and the public. Orting is a charming small city in the foothills of Mt. Rainier and lies between two rivers. The enormously popular foothills trail runs right through the center of town. The City of Orting is a strong may form of government with seven councilmembers. The incumbent City Administrator would report directly to the Mayor and is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the city, managing long term planning and development of the city as an organization and supervising department heads. The population of Orting is around 8,600 our 2020 budget is about $20 million including budgeted capital projects. The city’s current headcount is 38.
