Longview, Washington (pop. 38,350) is located in Southwest Washington along the scenic Columbia River Basin nestled between Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. Longview is a comforta-ble and affordable community with close proximity to larger city amenities as well as abundant outdoor recreational activities in the Cascade Mountains, Pacific beaches, and numerous rivers and lakes. Position Infomation: The fourth level of the Parks Maintenance Series is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Parks Maintenance division, which could include: assigning, managing and evaluating the performance of subordinate staff; preparing and monitoring the biennial budget for the division; conducting site inspections; developing all necessary reports; reviewing new development plans; and acting as a conservator of the Urban Forest. The Parks Maintenance Manager is distinguished from the Parks Maintenance Supervisor in that it is responsible for the budgetary management and work planning of the division.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in horticulture, landscape maintenance, urban forestry, or related field; and 5-7 years of parks management experience.
