Transportation Engineering Manager job in Issaquah

The City of Issaquah Public Works Department is seeking a Transportation Engineering Manager to join our team! The Public Works Department provides the highest level of transportation, utility management, and resource conservation services to our community. The Transportation Engineering Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the City's transportation system meets the current and future needs of our residents. This position is a working manager who manages a team responsible for the planning, design, and construction of City transportation projects and coordinates with other agencies on regional transportation efforts.

In the next 3-5 years, the Transportation Engineering Manager will have the opportunity to:

• Coordinate with Sound Transit on locating a future light rail station.
• Further the multimodal transportation approach developed in the City's Mobility Master Plan by creating short-term, implementable projects that support the City's transportation vision.
• Strengthen relationships with our regional transportation partners.
• Assist in the integration of the City's Public Works Engineering and Public Works Operations Departments into one singular Public Works Department.
• Manage and mentor a dedicated staff of transportation professionals.
