We are seeking a proven nurse leader to oversee the Communicable Disease Surveillance Program in the Communicable Disease and Epidemiology Division of the Whatcom County Health Department. This position supervises professional staff in the Communicable Disease Division.
KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:
Assists in planning, development of the budget, work schedules and staffing levels Plans and oversees details of activities including workloads, schedules and coordinating with others to ensure timely completion of work Implements cost effective measures and uses resources and technology to increase productivity Secures, monitors and assures compliance with grants and contracts and prepares program reports as needed. Monitors, investigates and analyzes program and client statistics, community needs and program initiatives and assists in developing recommendations. Provides direct service to clients when necessary Maintains knowledge of current research, legislation, state regulations and Centers for Disease Control recommendations related to areas of assignments Training, supervising and evaluating assigned staff
