Economic Development Coordinator job in Issaquah

The City of Issaquah Economic Development team strives to ensure that Issaquah is a sustainable, diverse, and vibrant local economy by providing support to local businesses, supporting workforce development, and encouraging economic innovation and investment. The team is located in the Mayor's Office and works directly with local businesses and organizations to ensure a diverse mix of businesses to provide a range of services to meet the community's needs. The Economic Development Coordinator, under the direction of the Economic Development Manager, coordinates and supports projects focused on, small business assistance, workforce development, tourism, business attraction and retention, and enhancing the lives of Issaquah residents. The focus of the work will be conducting individual business retention efforts; managing small to medium sized projects; supporting larger projects through research, analysis, and data gathering; and assisting in the development of Economic Development strategy.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college with a major in marketing, public or business administration or planning or a closely-related field; and
• Three years of related experience; or
• Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
