Lateral Police Captain job in Bothell

The City of Bothell is recruiting for a Lateral Police Captain!

Are you interested in developing new leaders, mentoring new or recently promoted officers, and sharing your excellent management skills? In the past year we have hired many new officers and several of our long-term employees and command staff have retired. We are in need of an experienced law enforcement professional who has "been there, done that" and can come in and hit the ground running. If this type of work excites you, we want to meet you!

Required: The ability to respond to a call-out within 60 minutes.

The ideal candidate will possess the following preferred qualifications:

• Held the rank of Lieutenant or higher (commander level not first-level supervisor) for at least three years and have been certified as a commissioned law enforcement officer in Washington State within the past two years.
• A Master's Degree in Police Science, Sociology, Psychology, Public or Business Administration, Political Science, Organizational Management, Leadership, or other field approved by the Chief of Police.
• A graduate of the FBI National Academy.
