Parks & Recreation Director job in Burlington

The City of Burlington is seeking a dynamic and passionate parks and recreation professional to fill this position. The Parks & Recreation Director plans, organizes, directs and controls parks, recreation and cemetery programs for the City of Burlington. The Director also oversees facility rentals and use of the Burlington Community Center. The Director interprets program needs, works with the community, local, State, and Federal governments, and volunteer organizations to develop and promote leisure services. The Director is responsible for facilitating the Parks & Recreation Comprehensive Plan, park development, and planning and ongoing capital improvements to Park & Recreation facilities. The Director is also responsible for policy plans, budgets, and for overseeing day to day operations of the department.
