TARGET HIRING RANGE: $7,046 to $8,455 Monthly (DOQ)

GENERAL SUMMARY

Performs intermediate skilled administrative support work performing accounting duties related to the City's general ledger and subsystems, preparing financial statements and other reports, reviewing and recommending changes to the City's internal accounting system, and related work as apparent or assigned. Supervises, directs, and evaluates Finance division staff as delegated by the Finance Director. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Finance Director ("supervisor").

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree with coursework in accounting, finance, or related field and three (3) years of experience in professional accounting, including one (1) year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver's license.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four (4) years or more professional accounting experience, preferably in local government/public sector. 
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a lead or supervisory role. 
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word) and Adobe products.
