Core Daily Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership for 5 to 6 scientist and technicians who perform tasks related to water quality, environmental monitoring, GIS, and weather station data that is analyzed for state NPDES Permit compliance.
- Oversee team workforce development.
- Grow internal capacity of the monitoring program through staff development.
- Develop and administer strategic plans, project and/or consultant service contracts, programming, and other implementation programs.
- Represent the County at public hearing or meetings and participate in committees.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Natural Science, Biology, Environmental Studies, or other closely related fired of study.
- Five or more years of related work experience.
- Additional work experience or education may substitute stated requirements.
- Ability to lead and develop teams.
Preferred Requirements:
- Provable experience in leading teams successfully.
- Experience in stormwater and NPDES permitting.
