Description


The City of Monroe is currently recruiting for a Building Inspector. This role performs inspections and limited plan review for structural, non-structural and fire life safety components of commercial and residential buildings to ensure compliance with State adopted Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, Accessibility, Energy and other related Codes, including local and State amendments.

Maintains a variety of records and reports including building, fire, public works and special inspection reports and plan review comments. Help customers with code questions, investigates possible work without permits and conduct pre-construction and pre-development meetings as needed. Position is open until filled.
