Utility Systems Supervisor job in Longview

Position Information: The third level of the Utility Systems Series is responsible for performing formal supervisory duties for one or more Utility Systems crews that could include: evaluating employee performance; overseeing operations, repairs and replacements of the Utility Systems infrastructure; inspecting residential and commercial water and sewer connections; assisting the manager with planning and scheduling jobs; and preparing requisitions for necessary supplies and equipment.

The Utility Systems Supervisor is distinguished from the Lead Utility Systems Operator in that it has formal supervisory authority over Operator staff.

*The finalist must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and criminal background check.

• Water Distribution Manager II Certification
• Water Distribution Manager III Certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Wastewater Collection Specialist I
• Certification Wastewater Collection Specialist II
• Certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• Flagging Card
• Forklift Operator License
• Valid Driver's License
• Cross Connection Specialist Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification (preferred for water quality group)
