Engineering Specialist I/II job in Renton

The City of Renton has an exciting opportunity in our Community and Economic Development department. We are looking for an energetic, independent, and detail-oriented individual that enjoys diverse job duties and working with various government agencies and the public. In this position you can expect to perform records research, CAD drafting, and GIS mapping to support City of Renton spatial information. A basic understanding of civil engineering plans and surveying concepts are preferred as this position is involved in the review of various land use and development projects. Experience working with King County records, legal descriptions and mapping concepts will be useful for the maintenance of City records and data. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are needed when working with City personnel, applicants, outside agencies, and the public on projects and other assigned duties.
