The Opportunity: SCADA Technician

The Alderwood Water & Wastewater District (AWWD) is accepting applications for a SCADA Technician position in the Maintenance & Operations Department. This position will report to the SCADA/Electrical Manager and may receive direction and training from the SCADA Lead or the SCADA System Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on SCADA and telemetry systems, applicable instrumentation, controls, and power distribution systems.

AWWD is seeking a candidate that can find success while being flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and fun environment. Communication skills will be integral in the SCADA Technician position. Our ideal candidate will have a maintenance background in instrumentation & process controls systems with experience on Allen Bradley programmable controllers & Rockwell programming software. Experience with industrial control SCADA software such as KEPServerEX, FactoryTalk View, and iFix would be a plus.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job is required for this position. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be two years of progressively responsible experience in SCADA system maintenance, instrumentation and electronics, and two years of higher education in Instrumentation and Industrial Automation or a related field. A valid Washington State Driver’s License is required. Electrical license of at least the level of an (06) Limited Energy Systems or higher is desirable.

The pay range for this position is $32.56 - $43.63 hourly, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
