Chief Economic Development Officer job in Bellevue

The City of Bellevue, Washington is seeking a Chief Economic Development Officer who will lead the City’s Economic Development office into the future; devising innovative, leading-edge strategies that build upon a track record of successful regional partnerships. Reporting to the Director of Community Development, the Chief Economic Development Officer will oversee the City's core economic development program focused on retaining and helping existing businesses that are within Bellevue's targeted clusters grow and prosper. Additionally, the new Chief Economic Development Officer will oversee the creation of a new strategic plan that focuses on cultivating technology entrepreneurs and enhancing Bellevue's position as a Pacific Rim gateway for foreign investment. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of economic development experience in a senior management capacity with a proven track record in business relations and commitment to excellent service. An advanced degree is highly desirable. The salary range for this position is $107,773 to $148,772 annually and is supplemented with a comprehensive benefits package.
