Operations Manager job in Port Orchard

West Sound Utility District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of OPERATIONS MANAGER. This is a highly responsible administrative and supervisory position that reports directly to the General Manager.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the District’s wastewater collections, conveyance and potable water supply and transmission directing and supervising the activities of personnel engaged in operations and associated programs.

Ten years of progressively responsible experience in water and wastewater operations, including leading a team environment and three (3) years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would be expected to provide job-related competencies.

A high school diploma, completion of college courses in a related field of study is preferred. A Bachelor or Associate degree is desirable.

Certifications Required: Water Distribution Manager (WDM 3 within 12 months of hire), Cross Connection Control Specialist, WWCPA Certificate (WWCPA 2 or higher is preferred), and CDL Class B Endorsement.
