The City of Burlington is currently accepting applications for four (4) full-time Firefighters; only the first one hundred (100) candidates to apply will be considered. To apply for the position you are required to submit the following: a completed City of Burlington application for employment, resume, cover letter, copies of applicable certificates, and valid CPAT. City of Burlington application for employment forms can be found on the City’s website at www.burlingtonwa.gov/jobs, or by request at City Hall, located at 833 S. Spruce Street, Burlington, WA 98233. Complete application packets must be submitted in a sealed envelope via mail, or in-person to Burlington City Hall, ATTN: Human Resources Department, or emailed to brittanyj@burlingtonwa.gov no later than close of business, 5:00 p.m. PST on December 4, 2018 OR until the maximum number of 100 applications have been received. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid driver's license and ability to read/speak English. Required Certifications: IFSAC Firefighter I (Firefighter II preferred). National Registry or Washington State EMT-Basic. Highly desirable is a minimum of two (2) years of paid, full-time firefighter experience or four (4) continuous years of firefighting experience as a part-time firefighter in a similar or larger agency.
