Engineer job in Longview

The third level of the Engineering Series is responsible for performing professional engineering duties that could include: designing and drafting projects; developing specifications and preparing bid documents; developing cost estimates; administering consultant contracts and ensuring compliance with contract requirements; performing site inspections of construction projects; and reviewing engineering plans.

The Engineer is distinguished from the Engineering Specialist Supervisor in that it performs professional engineering duties requiring a bachelor's degree in an engineering field, and may also require a Professional Engineer's (PE) license.

Training and Experience (positions in this class typically require):

Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field; and 2-3 years of professional engineering experience.

Licensing Requirements:

• Professional Engineer (PE) License may be required for specific assignments
