The City of North Bend is currently experiencing unprecedented growth, leading to the need to upgrade our Wastewater Treatment Plant. Over the next five years, the City will be investing approximately $25 million in the WWTP and collection system to provide additional reliability, redundancy, and capacity. These projects will include construction of two new oxidation ditches, conversion of the existing oxidation ditch to an aerobic digester, construction of a new control building and motor control center, installation of a new backup generator, construction a new secondary clarifier, rehabilitation of the existing secondary clarifier, construction of a new ultraviolet disinfection system building as well as upsizing the existing UV disinfection system, SCADA system improvements, and other improvements to make a complete system. Accepting the job of Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager will put you at the ground floor of this exciting rebuild of the City's system, presenting an opportunity to learn this new equipment as it is being brought online for the first time. The Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager position is primarily responsible for managing the operations of the City's publicly owned Wastewater Treatment Plant, including its collection system, equipment and processes. The WWTP Manager manages and monitors the maintenance, repair and control of the WWTP functions and is responsible for directing and overseeing the work activities of the plant. The position requires a person with a variety of critical skills necessary to manage daily plant operations including maintenance, repair, budget, DOE permitting, technical applications of all treatment process, supervisory skills, and capital projects oversight.
